I was annoyed that files derived from this movie lost audio after 17 minutes of play, so that it was necessary to download or play the 3.8 GB MPEG-2 file. The Internet Archive tried to re-derive MPEG-1 and MPEG-4 files from it to fix this audio problem to no avail. I had better luck. The 1.02 GB MPEG-4 file listed was derived from the original MPEG-2 file using settings near the limit of the MPEG-4 codec and deinterlaced. Enjoy!

what a great showcase for Barbara Peppers, later known as "Doris Ziffle" in "Green Acres."
this is a great little mystery with just enough comedy to keep it interesting. lots of twists with a little emoting thrown in. enjoy!

Kind of a stinker
I can imagine someone liking this, but I'm not that person. The acting is very stagey, with lines recited in that 'now you say something, now I'll say something' style. It's as if the actors waited for someone off-screen to point to them before they spoke their lines. I love old dark house movies, and I don't mind some humor, but I couldn't get past 20 minutes of this one.

Origins of cliché
Simple, campy, cute, with some inadvertently (?)hysterical dialog. Laughably delayed reactions by most of the cast throughout. I really liked it, despite the laborious and underwhelming conclusion. Interesting example of storytelling in early film.

Enjoyed this movie
This was a pretty good movie but I am wondering why it is listed as sci-fi/horror. It should be listed as crime, drama or both crime/drama. 4/5 stars

Neat Little Murder Mystery
This low budget film is entertaining with the combintion of comedy and suspense with Joan Woodbury playing a character that she has skill to use her acting ability. The upload is crisp and enjoyable to watch. TYSM
